Enugu guber: Obidients in fierce battle with PDP warhorses

PDP has dominated the state since the country’s return to democracy. In 1999, Chimaroke Nnamani was elected under the platform of the PDP and governed the state for eight years. He handed over to a fellow party man, Sullivan Chime, who governed the state from 2007 to 2015.

Budget: Kwara prioritises education, Kogi leads in health

Nasarawa State spent 30 percent of its agricultural expenditure of N1.31 billion on capital items. Kwara and Kogi states spent less than 15 percent of their total agriculture expenditure on capital items. In Kwara State, only 14 percent of N622 million earmarked for expenditure went to capital items.

Twenty-five year-old Aina Ajibola dropped out of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, giving up her dream of becoming a graduate. This was the second time she was abandoning tertiary education, the first being at Obafemi Awolowo University.
