The scarcity naturally led to most marketers selling petrol above the official pump price of N169 per litre. Petrol costs as much as N330 per litre in many parts of the country.
The prices of food items in Nigeria has gone up again for the second consecutive month. This was revealed by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in its release of the food price index for April 2022.

There are considerable increases in the price of food items since January 2020. This is according to the data from the April Food Price Watch of the National Bureau of Statistics. On a general note, the report reflected that the price of one dozen egg increased year-on-year by 2.04 percent.
